International Retinoids Conference VIII

Since its inception in 1982, the International Retinoids Conference has been the only venue for the diverse and global community of researchers involved in basic, clinical, and translational retinoid research. This year’s conference will continue to provide a unique platform for experts from diverse fields to exchange knowledge and foster collaborations.

Retinoids are essential for growth, development, reproduction, immunity, and vision. They influence cell differentiation, embryonic development, neuronal function, and more. Clinically, retinoids are used in trials for cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, skin and eye disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and as immune-boosting agents in vaccines. Research presented at this conference in the past has led to clinical applications for diseases such as Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia and Cutaneous T-cell Lymphoma.

The Meet the Experts sessions will feature keynote and session speakers in a panel format, providing early-career researchers a historical perspective of the retinoid field and a holistic view of its future. 

A Career Development Workshop will pair early-career researchers and students with experienced scientists to discuss practical topics, including grant applications, resume writing, negotiating offers, and more.
