Awards

Awards are established by the volunteer organizing committee to support attendance of trainees and junior faculty, as well as other scientists who may not have grant funding or other support. Depending on the award, funds may be applied towards the cost of travel, lodging, and childcare to offset the overall costs of attending this conference.

Travel Awards

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we have meeting scholarships available to junior scientists. The awards will be used to reimburse attendee costs (travel, accommodation, registration) up to about 950 USD (1,000 EUR).  

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Must present a talk or poster at the meeting
• Must attend the entire conference
• Must be one of the following:
  • Postdoctoral Fellow
  • Graduate Student

How To Apply

Please send an email asking to be considered for this award to irene.coin@uni-leipzig.de when you submit your abstract, along with a statement indicating how you meet the eligibility criteria listed above and your financial circumstances that warrant a need for travel support. All information will be kept confidential.

Application Deadline

The deadline for travel award applications is April 27, 2025, at noon Eastern Standard Time. Attendees receiving the award will be informed around mid of May and will be reimbursed for their registration/travel expenses shortly after the conclusion of the conference.
