Awards

Awards are established by the volunteer organizing committee to support attendance of trainees and junior faculty, as well as other scientists who may not have grant funding or other support. Depending on the award, funds may be applied towards the cost of travel, lodging, and childcare to offset the overall costs of attending this conference.

Available Award

To increase attendance by trainees (students and post-doctoral fellows) and early-stage investigators, we will be providing awards to partially cover travel or other conference expenses. Our goal is to be able to make multiple trainee awards.  

To be consider for a trainee award, trainees must present a talk or poster at the meeting, attend the entire conference and submit an abstract of 5000 characters (including spaces) briefly describing your training, research project, future goals, and funding need.

Application Deadline

The deadline for travel award applications is April 30, 2025. Attendees receiving the award will be informed on the week of May 5th and will be partially reimbursed for their registration/travel expenses shortly after the conclusion of the conference. The awards total will be determined based on the availability of funds and the number of selected applicants and will be disclosed at the moment of notification.
