Chromatin and Epigenetics in Aging and Disease

For over 20 years, this conference has fostered new knowledge, methodologies, technical capabilities, and interdisciplinary collaborations for a unique field of study. Epigenetics and transcriptional changes are major hallmarks of aging and age-associated diseases, such as cancer. Recent advances in our understanding of the underlying mechanisms have revealed strategies to improve cellular homeostasis, repair damage, and develop therapeutic targets for disease. Additionally, cutting-edge tools that measure transcriptional and epigenetic changes at high resolution are rapidly evolving, leading to exciting discoveries in the heterogeneity of aging, aging clocks, and gene regulatory networks. 

This year’s program will bring together senior leaders and early-career researchers in academia, industry, and publishing to bridge the fields of basic biology, tool development, and translational science. The sessions will share unpublished work and foster new collaborations in a uniquely interactive and inclusive forum.

Workshops

A Meet the Expert lunch session will pair early-career scientists with senior researchers to learn more about specific topics and establish new collaborations in the field. 

At the Career Development Workshop, attendees can present their science to peers and established investigators in a supportive environment, as well as discuss career trajectories.
