Conference Summary
This long-running conference will explore recent advances in the field of autoimmunity, spanning molecular mechanisms of autoimmune, immune-mediated responses (adaptive & innate), and novel treatments for disease.
Goals and Takeaways
· Novel molecular mechanisms in autoimmunity, auto-inflammation, and immune regulation specific to autoimmunity
· The recent advances in the genetic, epigenetic, metabolic, and environmental factors that contribute to autoimmune diseases
· Emerging translational research and novel therapeutic approaches for treating autoimmune diseases
Program Topics
· B cell-mediated mechanisms in autoimmunity
· Autoreactive T cells in autoimmune disease
· T and B cell interactions in autoimmunity
· The microbiome & environment in autoimmune disease
· Immuno-metabolism mechanisms impacting autoimmunity
· Sex differences with autoimmunity
· Innate & effector mechanisms of autoimmunity and inflammation
· Cell-based therapies: CAR-T, CAAR-T, and inhibitory receptor agonists
Workshops
Two Meet the Expert lunch sessions will feature academic faculty, industry scientists, journal editors, and government scientists (NIH), providing an opportunity for early-career researchers to discuss science and career pathways in a small group format.
A Career Development Workshop will be held in a panel format, highlighting various career paths. Participants will have the opportunity to network with experienced research professionals from diverse scientific backgrounds.
